The 2-way Foley catheters are made of latex with a silicone coating (siliconized).

The lumen of the catheter is wide, while its lateral holes are smooth in order to avoid injury during catheterization.

The hydrant (balloon) is reinforced, inflates symmetrically, and has a capacity of 5-15ml.

The most commonly used urethral catheter is the 2-way Foley catheter, which consists of:

• Conduit body (one lumen for urine drainage and one for inflating and deflating the balloon)
• Rounded end with a balloon to hold it in place
• Two drainage holes at the ends of the balloon
