Description

Description

The MKE 600 is the ideal camera/camcorder microphone for the most demanding film challenges. Thanks to its high directivity, the MKE 600 picks up sound from the direction in which the camera is pointed, effectively attenuating noise from the sides and rear. Additionally, an activatable "Low Cut" filter minimizes wind noise. As some cameras/camcorders do not provide phantom power, the MKE 600 can also be powered by batteries. A battery on/off switch prevents premature battery drain, and the "Low Batt" indicator signals low battery level.

    Great microphone!!!
    For €300, it is the best you can buy in a condenser cardioid.
    Very clear sound, high sensitivity in the lows, very good power handling, excellent aluminum construction.
    On the downside, the mounting base is not the best for the size of the microphone, especially if you use a deadcat-type windscreen, which of course costs extra, almost €50.
    I use it as my main directional microphone on a Sony hotshoe mount, where the microphone sits exactly above the handle and connects via XLR or 3.5 jack to one of the audio channels.
    Since sound is 50% of my work as a video creator, I am constantly looking for very good products that meet my needs, and one of these I can say with certainty is the MKE600.
