The Lindy 38344 KVM & Data switch is an HDBaseT extender for uncompressed HDMI signals, connected via Cat.6A network cable. It supports resolutions up to 4K Ultra HD and HDR, as well as audio transmission and bidirectional RS-232 communication. The USB 2.0 ports allow you to connect a keyboard, mouse and other devices, enabling computer control from either the source or display end.

The transmitter’s HDMI loop-out allows you to connect a local display, while eARC/ARC support returns audio from the display to an amplifier or soundbar. Audio extraction and audio embedding or de-embedding at the transmitter are also supported, with switching via a button on the unit; the receiver also provides audio extraction. PoC power is carried over the network cable, so a power supply is needed only at the transmitter.

Bidirectional infrared ports let you control the source from the display end and the display from the HDMI source end. CEC control allows you to use a single remote, while the bidirectional RS-232 and Ethernet ports support connections to control systems, network switches and hubs. Power connects via a DC plug with a screw-locking mechanism.
