Chateau Penaud is located on the right bank of Bordeaux, in the Blaye region, and benefits from a favorable microclimate with high sunshine rates and ideal humidity for grape maturation, thanks to the influence of the Gironde estuary.
The estate is dominated by two terroirs:
- Sandy-gravelly: On the hillsides bordering the Gironde estuary.
- Sandy-clay: On the slopes further inland.
These soils provide fruitiness and strength to the red wines, while ensuring freshness and aromatic expression in the white wines.
