The Extralink patch panel, cat 6, UTP, 0.5U, 24 ports is one of the essential components used in the construction of structured cabling. It is mounted on the rails of a 19" rack cabinet using the same screws used for installing active devices.

The patch panel is used for terminating the cables that are encountered at the distribution panel. To maintain the correct connection standard, RJ-45 cat. 6 ports are provided. The UTP patch panel connects to the active device using appropriately rated and designed patch cables.

The unique feature of the presented device is its height of 0.5U, which allows for the installation of two such patch panels in a single assembly unit, meaning up to 48 ports in 1U. The cable is connected to the patch panel using a termination tool intended for this purpose, commonly known as a Krone knife.
