Semillon

It produces dry wines with aromas of lemon, apple, honey (with aging) and is famous for its sweet wines.

Assyrtiko

It produces wines with high acidity, intense minerality, and citrus aromas (lemon, grapefruit), often with floral notes. It has excellent aging potential.

Description

Varietal composition: Semillon & Assyrtiko

Region: Kokkinochori Kavala, Greece

Tasting characteristics: Etos is a long-aged wine produced from the estate's best vineyards, only in exceptional years. The 2022 harvest released Etos Semillon & Assyrtiko 2012. The varieties are cultivated in a selected vineyard with low yield, on barren, calcareous and clay soils. After aging in French oak barrels, it matures for several years in the winery's underground cellars and is presented 10 years after its creation. The wine has a deep golden yellow color. On the nose, aromas of overripe yellow fruits, peach, quince, and bergamot harmoniously blend with notes of honey and nuts. On the palate, it is rich, with a creamy texture, balanced acidity, and excellent structure, with a complex, long-lasting finish.
