    I got it for two uses:

    a) to cover (from the inside) a developing hole in the mesh of a sports shoe in the big toe area, before it opened. I put on 2 strips to be sure and so far it has done the job.

    b) to cover wear at the back of the same shoe*. This did not fit very well, but it is mostly ok.

    I would prefer the cutout designs to have larger "continuous" surfaces. As they are now, a lot of useful surface is lost to features like feet, etc. For example, see in the official product photo the bear paw at the top right. You can hardly cover anything with that.

    *In case you are wondering, I don't know why the shoes fell apart like this - I've had them for less than a year...
