Possibly, along with Resident Evil 1, the best horror game so far. I had never seen Alien before, I had only played Alien Vs Predator, and it really was everything I expected and more.
It is nerve-wracking, requires strategic ability (where to go, how to go, how to use what you can construct and your resources), perception and good orientation (being able to read maps easily), because wandering around the space station is a bit complex. The soundtrack based on the first movie fits perfectly with this game, making you feel alone, helpless, trapped in a "maze" of narrow corridors and closed doors (not recommended for claustrophobic people), facing a practically unbeatable enemy, the Xenomorph.
This game has something incredibly realistic about it! You feel like you are in a hostile and challenging environment from many perspectives, where everything wants to kill you, from the aliens to the robots and humans. The alien is not just an enemy with repetitive movements, who will behave in a specific way in the new game that you are familiar with. No! And that's what's amazing here: the unpredictable enemy (dynamic AI) that you can't read, and that can locate you when you use the motion tracker on the Nightmare difficulty level. The whole title "Isolation" becomes fully understandable at the end of the game, when Amanda gives it her all as the sole survivor, just like Ellen Ripley in the first movie. As for the plot, I liked that at times you take a break from the alien and deal with the working Joes, thinking that the threat on the spaceship is no longer there. I loved the plot twists, as well as the dynamic, peaceful, reserved, and calm character of Amanda.
As for the graphics, I have no complaints so far, everything looks bright and very clear.
If I had to mention ONLY ONE NEGATIVE thing about this game, it is that it is 2024 AND WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR ISOLATION 2!!! It's a shame that such games don't have sequels!
Note: Play the game on Nightmare difficulty and you will enjoy the Full Experience. Hardcore is a joke compared to it.

Really epic game.. I played this game in 2023 and I really enjoyed it to the fullest.. It's a different survival horror, without guns (although you can use weapons in the game, it's just not always the best approach), and clearly based on stealth approach.. Its sound is truly a gem.. The space and sci-fi environments, combined with its amazing sound and the fear of the alien constantly being on your heels, provide a terrifying experience that is truly commendable.. Having also played Resident Evil 7, which is considered one of the scariest and atmospheric games on the PS4, I can't say that it was better in terms of horror and atmosphere than Alien.. In terms of the story, the game excels, with a plot that always keeps you on edge, and a finale that will truly leave you speechless.. Okay, in terms of graphics, we're talking about a game that is now a decade old, so don't expect perfect character graphics, but in terms of environments, I can say that the graphics were paid special attention to.. Overall, it's a game that if you want to be scared and anxious, get it 100%.. I played it in 2023 for the first time and honestly, I didn't regret a minute of it no matter how many times I played the cat-and-mouse game with the alien, the atmospheric sound and the environments don't get tiresome, and as I mentioned before, it's a game that focuses on stealth rather than action.. Finally, I can say that I'm not the biggest fan of the Alien movie series (personally, I've only seen the first one from 1979, which is also the one that the developers recommend watching before playing the game, because it takes place a few years after the end of the first movie) but that didn't stop me from enjoying the game.. Guys, if you're looking for something horror, get a good pair of headphones, turn off the lights, and buy it with your eyes closed

An awesome horror game, without unnecessary shooting and action. The protagonist, Amanda Ripley (daughter of beloved Ellen Ripley), and the Alien are the main ingredients that keep the interest and terror constant until the end.

The Alien hunts the player very cleverly, learns its patterns, and generally ensures constant terror and appearing out of nowhere. Especially on higher difficulties, it requires strong nerves to endure the continuous chase.

There are situations that require combat, either against the space station's robots or against the Alien, but the goal is to avoid them. Amanda cannot harm the Alien, only scare it and repel it. The robots are also resilient (so they require a lot of ammunition to be destroyed), and often gather in groups of 2-3, making it almost impossible to defend oneself. Overall, it remains faithful to the original idea of the invincible Alien, where a frontal attack is futile.

On the other hand, a negative aspect that I don't often mention is the long duration. It took me about 20 hours for the first playthrough, and I felt fatigue towards the end. If it were 3-4 hours shorter, I think it would have ended at the ideal point to avoid exhaustion. Technically flawless, excellent sound, impeccable production from every aspect. Hopefully, we will see a sequel.

The best horror game in space even now. In general, this game offers us good experiences in survival gameplay. On the spaceship Sevastopol, which is quite large for long journeys and explorations on alien planets, which are dangerous, violent, ugly weather conditions and monsters. The spaceship is not safe because some astronauts went to a planet which is habitable with aliens. One astronaut was infected by a facehugger and then they transported him to Sevastopol for treatment but it was too late. The alien came out of his belly and grew inside air ducts, then it made eggs which are facehuggers for reproduction!!!! Well, the alien is the main "villain" throughout the game. The other bad things are bad humans, facehuggers and androids.
Inside the game there are bad people for survival because the spaceship is not safe and some had a psychotic crisis (went crazy). They have lots of weapons from our protagonist but our weapons are cool and smart to kill the bad people if needed. The androids are strong robots and crazy!!! These robots are harder than the bad people because they are strong like Captain America, they grab you with one hand and throw you in the air, then your health decreases a lot. You can't kill them easily with a tool that you hold from the beginning of the game; to kill them easily you need weapons (pistol, shotgun, and laser). They are annoying robots that keep saying "please dont run,i need to help you".
So the alien is worse than all the bad things and you have to survive to stay alive. If you are far from a save checkpoint and need to save again and the alien kills you then back to the last save. Beware the Facehuggers that make amazing deaths, this can make our heads jump and scream from terror. If the alien sees you, you are 100% dead, you won't have time to hide, it is fast, strong, has good ears, strong skin, and good eyes!!!!

In general this game made me happy, joyful, terrified in every horrific scene, and satisfied because the game has realistic gameplay with good graphics. I recommend this game to you, if you are horror fans try it. You will go crazy. I rate it 10/10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you

A masterpiece. I’ve always been a fan of survival horror, but this particular game exceeded all my expectations. A game to emulate, truly!

Its gameplay is based 98% on stealth. The weapons you have are relatively weak and their main purpose is distraction or the temporary immobilization of the enemy. The enemies you face are various humans, Androids, and the Alien. The enemies’ AI is years ahead. It’s not enough to hide under a table or behind a desk.. if you come into visual contact with the enemy even slightly or make noise, that’s it. They saw you. If they see you, run and hide! If the Alien sees you, you are 99.9% dead. The Alien (which is also the main enemy that hunts you) is super intelligent and unpredictable. Forget the robotic stealth mechanics you saw in other games, the Alien is bloodthirsty, cunning, and hard to fool.

Some may not like the fact that the game does not have autosaves and checkpoints, which I must admit is sometimes annoying since if you die, you have to redo some missions from the beginning. But in the end, that’s what survival horror is all about! Trying to find the nearest phone to save so you don’t lose your progress, while the Alien surrounds you!

Beyond that, the environment is quite scary and chaotic, with many corridors, many locked doors that don’t open so easily, many hidden underground paths, etc. The guns/tools you have are a revolver, a flamethrower, some bombs that you craft with various materials, and more. Although, to be honest, the most useful of all is the motion tracker, which essentially detects enemy movement within a certain area.
