It helped us a lot to calm our little one. It needs a bit of adjustment to be warm enough because the 30" heating time it says is not enough. Also, be careful not to heat it more, because then it smells burnt and some of the pits inside open up

I don't know how effective it is since my little one suffered. But its construction is very good. It just gets cold quickly. Of course, for a baby, it doesn't need to stay on the tummy for more time. Easy to use.

It saved us!!! It cools down quickly but once you get used to going back and forth to the microwave... it was the only thing that calmed the baby and helped them fall asleep during colic flare-ups.
