Exactly as you expect. From the top side it measures circumference (starting from 6 inches) and from the bottom it can be used as a simple tape measure (starting from zero inches) for straight distances.
The retraction mechanism is not very strong (perhaps understandably so, so it won’t break if you retract it uncontrollably) and it needs some corrective movements to take up all the slack from the circumference.
In general, I don’t think I save much time compared to measuring with a simple retractable tape measure, but I don’t regret the purchase.
Ακριβώς όπως το περιμένετε. Από την πάνω μεριά μετράει περιφέρεια (ξεκινάει από τους 6 πόντους) και από την κάτω μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί σαν απλή μεζούρα (ξεκινάει από τους μηδέν πόντους) για ευθείες αποστάσεις.
Δεν είναι πολύ δυνατός ο μηχανισμός επαναφοράς (ίσως δικαιολογημένα για να μην κοπεί αν την επαναφέρεις ανεξέλεγκτα) και θέλει κάποιες διορθωτικές κινήσεις να πάρει όλα τα μπόσικα από την περιφέρεια.
Γενικά δε νομίζω ότι γλυτώνω πολύ χρόνο από το να μετρούσα με απλή μεζούρα με επαναφορά, αλλά δε μετανιώνω την αγορά.
