Laboratory tests of the ÖKO level-2 filter have demonstrated the removal of 99.994% of e-coli, 99.9999% of cryptosporidium, and giardia lamblia, widely found bacteria in lakes, streams, and international water sources. The material uses a positively charged electrophoresis process to attract and trap harmful agents much smaller than the size of the pores. ÖKO's patented water bottles are made from a custom blend of plastics that have undergone rigorous SGS testing for FDA food contact safety. The body of the bottle is made from extremely lightweight polypropylene material. The ring is used for carrying or placing the bottle in a bag. It is the most advanced water filtration technology.
