The lab tests of the ÖKO level-2 filter demonstrated the removal of 99.994% of e-coli, 99.9999% of cryptosporidium, and giardia lamblia, the widely found bacteria in lakes, streams, and international water sources. In addition to a pore size of 2 microns, the material uses a positively charged electrosorption process (attraction and retention) to pull and trap harmful agents much smaller than the size of the pores. The patented ÖKO water bottles are made from a custom blend of plastics that have passed strict SGS testing for FDA food contact safety. The body of the bottle is made from extremely lightweight polypropylene material commonly used in food storage containers. Due to the high-temperature resistance of the material, it does not release chemicals or odors when exposed. The ring is used for carrying or placing the bottle in a bag. It also allows the user to see the water filtration in action. It is the most advanced water filtration technology.
