The Dog Kids strategy board game by Schmidt Spiele is a family card game with instructions in German, for children aged 5 and up. Players use their cards to move their three dogs from the starting point to the home. The first player to get all three dogs home wins.
On each turn, the player plays one of their three cards and moves a dog according to the card’s symbol. One or two colored paw prints lead to the next or second square of the same color, respectively, while the two-color card allows the player to move to the next square of either color. The swap card allows players to exchange places with an opponent’s dog, unless it is at home or in a protected kennel, and the home card moves the dog to the next empty kennel. If a dog lands on an opponent’s dog, that dog returns to the start; if the move would land on one of the player’s own dogs, they can jump over it and move to the next square of the same color.
