Ariousios Glycazon Red Semi-sweet Wine 750ml
Varieties: This semi-sweet wine is produced from the local Chios variety Chiotiko krasero, which is cultivated on the slopes of the Amani mountains in N.W. Chios.
- Altitude: 250 – 350 meters
- Harvest: Chiotiko krasero September 20-30
- Yield per acre: 800 kg
Winemaking: Grapes of excellent quality are spread out in the sunlight for natural sweetening and are vinified under conditions of low controlled temperature, following the tradition of the famous "Kourouniotic wine."
Aging: Maturation in oak barrels in the Ariousios cellar, in a naturally humid and cool environment, allows the semi-sweet wine to age in the bottle for several years.
Food pairing: Although on Chios, it usually accompanies many meals, it can be served as an aperitif or with desserts (especially chocolate sweets). It is also recommended for meats or poultry with red sauces and a platter with mature yellow cheeses and cold cuts.
Storage: "Ariousios Glycazon" becomes more mature and full-bodied as it remains in the bottle in a cool, shaded environment. It reveals its aromas when served cool, not chilled.
Tasting: The combination of sunshine and the Aegean Sea breeze delivers exceptional results. Red color with brick-like highlights, aromas of dried fig, plum, raisin, and vanilla, rich palate with a balance of sweetness and acidity, and a long aftertaste.
