Variety

Vertzami

Red variety from Crete, soft and fruity, suitable for everyday red dishes.

Merlot

It gives wines with soft tannins, medium acidity, and aromas of red fruits (cherry, plum), often with notes of herbs or chocolate. They are rounder and softer on the palate compared to Cabernet Sauvignon.
Dryness

Dry

Contains minimal sugars, with intense acidity and full body. Pairs well with meats, pasta, and cheeses.

55% Vertzami - 45% Merlot

The Vertzami comes from vineyards in Lefkada at an altitude of 600 meters. Sandy-clay-limestone soil with a yield that ranges at 500 kg per stremma.

For the Merlot, vineyards in Selianitika at an altitude of 350 meters. Sandy-clay-limestone soil with a yield that ranges at 700 kg per stremma.

Winemaking is done separately for the two varieties. Cold maceration for 24 hours followed by long maceration after the completion of alcoholic fermentation.

Aged in 2nd and 3rd use oak barrels of 225lt for 19 months.
