Description

LOCAL ACHAIC WINE

Mavrodaphne 100%.

The Winery "A.S. Parparoussis" was founded in 1974 by oenologist Thanasis Parparoussis with the aim of producing quality bottled wines. The winery's facilities are located on the family estate in Bozaitika, Patras, where the wine production, maturation, aging, and bottling take place. Most of the winery's wines are produced from the privately-owned vineyards in Bozaitika and Lappa Achaia, while there is also collaboration with selected viticulturists. Thanasis Parparoussis's personal involvement in the cultivation of the vineyards provides the conditions for controlled quality.

Highlighting the dry Mavrodaphne was a personal challenge for Thanasis Parparoussis, which he won hands down. The label "TAOS" is a beautifully complex wine, aged for 24 months in new French oak barrels.

I would like it to be more intense. Maybe it's unfair because I first tried a dry Mavrodaphne from another estate and I expected the same result here.
