P.G.I. Avdira Thrace
In Thrace, next to the Thracian Sea, lies Avdira. In the hilly areas of the region, viticulture has been practiced since ancient times. In 1999, the family of Nikos and Flora Vourvoukelis planted 20 stremmas of indigenous and international grape varieties suitable for winemaking on the fertile hills of the area. Gradually, a privately owned vineyard of 120 stremmas was developed, which is cultivated according to the principles of organic farming.

Vinification is done with fermentation and long extraction (15-20 days) in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperature. Maturation in 300 L barrels of American and French oak for 6 months, including malolactic fermentation.
