The Hatzimichalis Estate is located in Opountia Locris in Central Greece, in the Atalanti Valley. It is bordered to the north by Mount Knemida, to the south by Mount Chlomo, to the west by Parnassus, and to the east by the northern Euboean Gulf. The ecosystem is characterized by the cool air currents coming from Parnassus towards the sea and vice versa. The Hatzimichalis Estate comprises four vineyard sections: the Old Vineyards, the Lower Vineyards, the Upper Vineyards, and the New Vineyards. It is vinified with classic red winemaking.
The total aging time of the wine is 44 months:
- 24 months in small, oak, French barrels
- At least 20 months in the bottle
This process highlights the aromatic and flavor richness of the wine.
