The Meinl Sonic Energy Octave Steel Tongue is made from high-quality stainless steel.

It features a central bass note in the middle plus eight additional notes around it. These eight notes consist of two tongues each, producing the tone in two octaves, creating a wonderful, meditative sound similar to that of a handpan.

At the bottom of the steel tongue is the sound hole, which can be closed with a silicone plug to enhance the sound. There are also three silicone feet at the bottom for stability during use.

You can play the Octave Steel Tongue Drum with mallets or with your fingers. Simply place it on a flat surface or in your lap and start playing.
