This beautiful estate, one of the most famous in Margaux, was established in 1585 by the marquis d'Alesme. The Château adopts the horseshoe logo in honor of a close relative of the Marquis, who was a royal embellisher.
In 1808, Jean Bekker Teerlink acquired part of the property, proceeding to purchase the remainder in 1810. The new owner developed the vine culture and aimed to produce an exquisite wine. His efforts were rewarded in 1855.
Château Marquis d'Alesme was classified as 3ème Cru Classé, under the name Château d'Alesme Becker. In 2006, the Perrodo family purchased the estate, restructuring the vineyard and modernizing the cellars.
Thanks to an exceptional terroir and unique expertise, Château Marquis d'Alesme produces wine of outstanding quality.
