The black traganos in general, but only from Santorini due to the soil and knowledge, is perhaps the top Greek red, even better than the good xinomavros from Naoussa or the emerging Limniona from Tyrnavos or the good Agiorgitika from Nemea.

It is at least in the top 3, which is enough for you to enjoy it with a simple Averoff for 8 euros.

I never saw those things about "vanilla and mint with fruits and spices" in a good light.

The wine is incredibly rich, it has a tremendous character and is enjoyed greatly. It captivates you with its strong aroma, fullness, and uniqueness in taste.

It can overshadow any other food you pair it with. And if you "dare" to have it as an accompaniment to a meal, the food must also be exquisite.

Mr. Sigalas takes care of and highlights this particular traganos as a pioneer. The price is borderline steep, meaning that all good traganos should normally be around 25 euros, although if such a taste existed in Italian or French wine, we would be talking about 100 euros.

P.S. The aging of traganos is almost irrelevant. They are as good fresh as they are old, based on personal experience with bottles one after the other with a 12-year difference.

    Amazing!

The best so far for me in reds with a heavy body, full, more to drink as a drink in the evening, not with food, it deserves solo treatment
