The board game Princes of Florence Definitive is a strategy game for 2–5 players, who take on the roles of Italian aristocrats during the Renaissance. Their goal is to increase their families’ fame and prestige by supporting builders, artists and scholars and developing their estates. Over seven rounds, players bid at auctions for buildings, gardens and freedoms for their palazzi.
Players can also hire professionals, such as astronomers, organists and architects, whose preferences for the estate affect the production of work points. Work points can be converted into money for future auctions or saved.
