  • I bought them as secondary gloves, to wear them inside the windproof-waterproof gloves that I have for winter in the mountains. I wanted more insulation, that is. For this purpose, they are probably good and I say "probably" because I only tried them once, in conditions that were not fully winter. However, the problem started when I wore these gloves alone (without the waterproof ones on the outside) and started my hike nicely:
...After a few minutes, the anti-slip lining on the palm started to peel off because it came into contact with the rubber handle of the trekking pole, which is also anti-slip. I don't think I made any mistake in usage, unless these gloves are meant to be worn ONLY as inner gloves, which doesn't make sense because then there would be no reason for them to have this lining on the palm. I give two stars for this reason only: poor construction quality from an otherwise strong and reputable company in mountaineering equipment. I will come back with more details when I have tested them in full winter conditions. For now, consider this review incomplete.
