In terms of performance, it is perfect for its price, for Apple users a big plus is that it has AirPlay 2! Flawless in performance and there are no disconnections on the wireless network. In terms of aesthetics, which is subjective for everyone, it falls short compared to the premium models by a lot and a disadvantage is the lack of a widget on iOS!

The 4 stars because the sound did not satisfy me, especially when compared to the sound from a CD player. For its price, it is excellent, of course. And the sound becomes much better if you connect it to a quality external DAC. In my case, the sound gained more body, the bass was heard, and there is no harshness or shrillness in the highs. I listen to music for many hours without tiring my ears.

Top with an excellent DAC chip.... upgrades cd players multiple times its value, also excellent as a streamer!!!!

Coming from the Wiim Mini, which played with active speakers, I was disappointed with its internal DAC (a hundred bucks can't expect miracles). However, the fantastic management platform led me to the Pro Plus... well, we're talking about the average user like me, it's at least exceptional. Streaming Tidal, you hear details that you hadn't noticed before. Songs you love, you listen to them again and again because they reach your ears completely differently. Lastly, something important, the remote control is Bluetooth, which makes the unit invisible, as you can hide it wherever you want (if you want)

Easy to use, it simply works as it should. Along with a subscription to a streaming service (Spotify), it solved all my music source needs. Additionally, it immediately connected to my NAS where I have stored my music. It has built-in web radio apps with a wide variety of free stations, both Greek and foreign. From what I can judge, the sound quality is quite good (I use the built-in DAC and have connected it to an amplifier using RCA).

I am not an expert in sound but, for me, it is very good. It does what it says and definitely what I got it for. Very easy to install and operates all day without interruptions.

The machine is an excellent streamer with an amazing app model for other manufacturers who sell at multiple times the price but fall far behind!!
I connect with Tidal connect and I have high res content (flac 24/192, mqa etc) in my living room and I handle all this with my iPhone through the amazing WiiM Home app for which I have no words!!
If I want to stream from Apple Music via airplay 2 (but not high res content, up to 16/44.1, our beloved Apple doesn't allow it... I mention it as a possibility) and all this from my iPhone!!
And it costs 249 euros!!!
What else can you say???

I have it in my living room for a week and I only have very good words to say about this excellent streamer!!
It is the definition of VFM and something more!!
The WiiM Home app for iOS immediately locked the device and in 2 minutes I streamed my music from Tidal Connect.
The device connected via coax to Benchmark dac and delivered excellent sound!!
I should add that the device is powered by iFi Audio iPower2... so I paid attention to its power supply and the theory - at least - says that power supply plays a significant role in performance!!
Its strong features are its great stereo image and transparency!!
I highly recommend it!!

The new WiiM Streamer with its upgraded DAC is very good. I am very satisfied with the sound quality, even though my system is budget-friendly! I mainly use it for streaming from Tidal, but also for playing my local files through Logitech Media Server. It comes with all the necessary cables and a smart remote control that also works with voice commands. It is powered by a simple 5v/2a power supply, but I took it a step further and paired it with an iFi Audio iPower2, resulting in even better sound quality. However, I would like it to have a screen that displays information about the playing songs. If you already have a DAC, there is no reason to go for this Streamer. There is the Pro version, which is exactly the same but with a lower-quality DAC and is more affordable.
