It has 3 levels of light. Unfortunately, I can't show you how it looks at night right now, but on the second level, you leave it permanently and it has a steady small glow of light, and when someone approaches, it becomes more intense. The main reason I bought it is that certain areas of the house shouldn't appear dark to those around us because you never know what might happen. I highly recommend it for dark spots in the house at a very good price as well.
