Top shoe for running, long-distance athletic walking, and everyday use. It was recommended to me by a friend as suitable for cases of strain and knee injuries. In recent years and up until now, I have carefully chosen the ASICS GT-2000, which I will continue to use, along with the HOKA Clifton. At first, the HOKA shoes seem slightly harder than the ASICS, but very soon you feel that they provide a particularly clear footstep, with very good grip and shock absorption in the right places. I have only had them for a few days, so I cannot have an opinion on their feel and durability over time, but the first impressions are extremely positive. The black ones with the GORE-TEX membrane, which I chose, are ideal for work use (serious style, even for smart dressing), while also being waterproof for the winter period and providing very good foot protection, unlike conventional boots that may look nice on the outside but may not be the best anatomically. As for the size, I went from 43.5 in ASICS to 44 in HOKA, and I have an ideal/comfortable fit, as it should be. I am very satisfied so far. I recommend them.
09/12/2023 -- Now having 2 months of experience wearing them, I can assure you that these are very high-quality shoes, extremely friendly and comfortable on the foot, noticeably better than the ASICS GT-2000. The HOKA shoes excel in shock absorption during intense walking or running. The discomfort in my strained knee almost disappears when I wear them. I will come back with additional comments after using them extensively (I haven't pushed them too hard yet because I don't want to ruin their appearance, as they are beautiful, especially with the GORE-TEX on them).
Κορυφαίο παπούτσι για τρέξιμο, αθλητικό περπάτημα μεγάλων αποστάσεων, αλλά και για καθημερινή χρήση. Μου το σύστησε φίλος μου, ως κατάλληλο για περιπτώσεις καταπόνησης και τραυματισμού του μηνίσκου. Τα τελευταία χρόνια και έως σήμερα επιλέγω ευλαβικά τα ASICS GT-2000, τα οποία θα συνεχίσω να χρησιμοποιώ, σε συνδυασμό με τα HOKA Clifton. Στην αρχή τα HOKA φαίνονται λίγο σκληρότερα από τα ASICS, αλλά πολύ σύντομα νιώθεις ότι παρέχουν ιδιαίτερα σαφές πάτημα, με πολύ καλό κράτημα και απόσβεση των κραδασμών στα σημεία που πρέπει. Τα έχω μόλις μερικές μέρες, οπότε δεν μπορώ να έχω άποψη για την αίσθηση και την αντοχή τους σε βάθος χρόνου, αλλά οι πρώτες εντυπώσεις είναι θετικότατες. Τα μαύρα με τη μεμβράνη GORE-TEX, που επέλεξα, είναι ιδανικά για χρήση στην εργασία (σοβαρό στιλ, ακόμα και για smart ντύσιμο), ενώ ταυτόχρονα είναι αδιάβροχα για τη χειμερινή περίοδο και παρέχουν πολύ καλή προστασία στο πόδι, σε αντίθεση με συμβατικά μποτάκια, που φαίνονται όμορφα εξωτερικά, αλλά μπορεί να μην είναι τα καλύτερα ανατομικά. 09/12/2023 -- Έχοντας πλέον εμπειρία 2 μηνών φορώντας τα, μπορώ να διαβεβαιώσω ότι πρόκειται για πολύ ποιοτικά παπούτσια, πάρα πολύ φιλικά και άνετα στο πόδι, αισθητά καλύτερα από τα ASICS GT-2000. Τα HOKA είναι κορυφαία στην απόσβεση των κραδασμών κατά το έντονο περπάτημα ή τρέξιμο. Οι ενοχλήσεις στον καταπονημένο μου μηνίσκο σχεδόν εξαφανίζονται όταν τα φοράω. Θα επανέλθω και πάλι με επιπλέον σχόλια μετά από σκληρή χρήση τους (ακόμα δεν τα έχω ζορίσει πάρα πολύ, γιατί δεν θέλω να τα χαλάσω εμφανισιακά, επειδή είναι πανέμορφα, ειδικά με το GORE-TEX επάνω τους).

I am thrilled with the Clifron 8 and 9 and wanted a waterproof model for the winter. I read reviews and ratings on several sites and was very cautious about how stiff they are. I tried them and finally bought them because I liked them. They are indeed stiffer than the regular ones, as people write, but not such a big difference, for me, they are still comfortable, for walking which is how I use them, without the cloudy feeling of the regular ones, as for durability over time, that remains to be seen.
Με τα clifron 8 και 9 ειμαι ενθουσιασμενος και ήθελα κάποιο μοντέλο αδιαβροχα για το χειμώνα. Διάβασα review και κριτικές σε αρκετές σελίδες και ήμουν πολύ επιφυλακτικος σε σχεση με το ποσο σκληρα ειναι. Τα δοκίμασα και τα πήρα τελικά γιατί μου άρεσαν. Είναι όντως πιο σκληρά απο τα απλα, οπως γραφουν, αλλα οχι τοσο μεγάλη διαφορά, για εμένα, εξακολουθούν να είναι άνετα, για περπατημα που τα χρησιμοποιώ, χωρίς την cloudy αίσθηση των απλών, για αντοχή στο χρόνο θα δείξει.
Having used them and as an owner of the Hoka Clifton 9, after 4 months, wearing them daily and working as a waiter, I have to say the following:
- 3 weeks after daily use, the sole started to fray from underneath, pieces began to tear off one by one, resulting in me having to cut them so they wouldn't stick out from the shoe, and thus the shoe started to hit harder.
- They get dirty very easily.
- They are not suitable for serving.
I was recommended the Hoka as a "dog" shoe, comfortable and lightweight, but this model proved the opposite, except for the weight part. Nevertheless, I might try to get another model in the future, but definitely avoid the Clifton 9

the worst I've ever worn. I was recommended Hoka as comfortable shoes, but unfortunately, they were terrible. I wore them for about 10 days (because I was told it takes a few days to mold to the shape of the foot) and I destroyed my feet as if I were in the army wearing combat boots. The person who recommended them to me later I learned had bought the same ones and said they were indeed the most uncomfortable and he never wore them. Unfortunately, I might have gotten a bad model, but for the money I spent, I couldn't give them a second chance

It is my third pair of Hoka, first time with Gore-Tex. I had to get a size bigger than usual and I should note that they are not suitable for summer as the foot does not breathe properly due to the Gore-Tex. The cushioning is good and the quality is also good.

I have had them for about 10 days, they are lightweight and have a very good sole. They are tight in the toe area. However, after a little rain, they got water in the front near the toes from the fabric. If they weren't waterproof, I wouldn't have chosen them from the beginning, as they haven't been washed, etc., to justify the goretex coating being damaged. Also, they started to smell even though I air them out daily. I don't know if it's because they got wet. I wouldn't recommend them for their price of 136€.
Τα έχω περίπου 10 ημέρες, είναι ελαφριά και με πολύ καλή σόλα. Είναι στενά στο κουντουπιε. Μετά από λίγη βροχή ωστόσο πήραν νερό μπροστά στα δάχτυλα από το πανί. Αν δεν ήταν αδιάβροχα δεν θα τα επέλεγα εξαρχής, δεν έχουν πλυθεί κλπ για να δικαιολογείται ότι χάλασε η επίστρωση goretex. Επίσεις άρχισαν να μυρίζουν παρόλο που τα αεριζώ καθημερινά. Δεν ξέρω ένα οφείλεται στο γεγονός ότι βάλανε νερό. Δεν θα τα πρότεινα για την τιμή τους 136€.
I also have the regular Clifton 9 (not waterproof), which have a softer sole and are more comfortable. Also, those in size 43 1/3 are more comfortable for me, while these in the same size feel a bit tight on the instep. The size I always wore in other brands is 43.
UPDATE: After a month, the shoes have taken the shape of my foot and no longer feel tight, so they are just as comfortable as the regular Clifton 9 in the same size, they just took longer to break in compared to those.
Έχω και τα clifton 9 τα απλά (όχι αδιάβροχα) τα οποία έχουν πιο μαλακή σόλα και είναι πιο άνετα. Επίσης εκείνα σε 43 1/3 μου είναι πιο άνετα ενώ αυτά στο ίδιο νούμερο με σφίγγουν λίγο στο κουτουπιέ. Το νούμερο που φορούσα πάντα σε άλλες μάρκες είναι 43.
UPDATE: μετά από ένα μήνα τα παπούτσια πήραν τη φόρμα του ποδιού και δεν με σφίγγουν, οπότε είναι το ίδιο άνετα με τα clifton 9 τα απλά στο ίδιο νούμερο απλά άργησαν περισσότερο από εκείνα να ανοίξουν.
Very good quality. Choose a larger size compared to what you wear. I wear a 45 EU size but in these shoes, it fits me as a 46 and 2/3

It is my third pair of Hoka, first time with Gore-Tex. I had to get a size bigger than usual and I should note that they are not suitable for summer as the foot does not breathe properly due to the Gore-Tex. The cushioning is good and the quality is also good.

I have had them for about 10 days, they are lightweight and have a very good sole. They are tight in the toe area. However, after a little rain, they got water in the front near the toes from the fabric. If they weren't waterproof, I wouldn't have chosen them from the beginning, as they haven't been washed, etc., to justify the goretex coating being damaged. Also, they started to smell even though I air them out daily. I don't know if it's because they got wet. I wouldn't recommend them for their price of 136€.
Τα έχω περίπου 10 ημέρες, είναι ελαφριά και με πολύ καλή σόλα. Είναι στενά στο κουντουπιε. Μετά από λίγη βροχή ωστόσο πήραν νερό μπροστά στα δάχτυλα από το πανί. Αν δεν ήταν αδιάβροχα δεν θα τα επέλεγα εξαρχής, δεν έχουν πλυθεί κλπ για να δικαιολογείται ότι χάλασε η επίστρωση goretex. Επίσεις άρχισαν να μυρίζουν παρόλο που τα αεριζώ καθημερινά. Δεν ξέρω ένα οφείλεται στο γεγονός ότι βάλανε νερό. Δεν θα τα πρότεινα για την τιμή τους 136€.
I also have the regular Clifton 9 (not waterproof), which have a softer sole and are more comfortable. Also, those in size 43 1/3 are more comfortable for me, while these in the same size feel a bit tight on the instep. The size I always wore in other brands is 43.
UPDATE: After a month, the shoes have taken the shape of my foot and no longer feel tight, so they are just as comfortable as the regular Clifton 9 in the same size, they just took longer to break in compared to those.
Έχω και τα clifton 9 τα απλά (όχι αδιάβροχα) τα οποία έχουν πιο μαλακή σόλα και είναι πιο άνετα. Επίσης εκείνα σε 43 1/3 μου είναι πιο άνετα ενώ αυτά στο ίδιο νούμερο με σφίγγουν λίγο στο κουτουπιέ. Το νούμερο που φορούσα πάντα σε άλλες μάρκες είναι 43.
UPDATE: μετά από ένα μήνα τα παπούτσια πήραν τη φόρμα του ποδιού και δεν με σφίγγουν, οπότε είναι το ίδιο άνετα με τα clifton 9 τα απλά στο ίδιο νούμερο απλά άργησαν περισσότερο από εκείνα να ανοίξουν.
Very good quality. Choose a larger size compared to what you wear. I wear a 45 EU size but in these shoes, it fits me as a 46 and 2/3

I am thrilled with the Clifron 8 and 9 and wanted a waterproof model for the winter. I read reviews and ratings on several sites and was very cautious about how stiff they are. I tried them and finally bought them because I liked them. They are indeed stiffer than the regular ones, as people write, but not such a big difference, for me, they are still comfortable, for walking which is how I use them, without the cloudy feeling of the regular ones, as for durability over time, that remains to be seen.
Με τα clifron 8 και 9 ειμαι ενθουσιασμενος και ήθελα κάποιο μοντέλο αδιαβροχα για το χειμώνα. Διάβασα review και κριτικές σε αρκετές σελίδες και ήμουν πολύ επιφυλακτικος σε σχεση με το ποσο σκληρα ειναι. Τα δοκίμασα και τα πήρα τελικά γιατί μου άρεσαν. Είναι όντως πιο σκληρά απο τα απλα, οπως γραφουν, αλλα οχι τοσο μεγάλη διαφορά, για εμένα, εξακολουθούν να είναι άνετα, για περπατημα που τα χρησιμοποιώ, χωρίς την cloudy αίσθηση των απλών, για αντοχή στο χρόνο θα δείξει.
Having used them and as an owner of the Hoka Clifton 9, after 4 months, wearing them daily and working as a waiter, I have to say the following:
- 3 weeks after daily use, the sole started to fray from underneath, pieces began to tear off one by one, resulting in me having to cut them so they wouldn't stick out from the shoe, and thus the shoe started to hit harder.
- They get dirty very easily.
- They are not suitable for serving.
I was recommended the Hoka as a "dog" shoe, comfortable and lightweight, but this model proved the opposite, except for the weight part. Nevertheless, I might try to get another model in the future, but definitely avoid the Clifton 9
Έχοντας τα χρησιμοποιήσει και ως κάτοχος των Hoka Clifton 9, μετά από 4 μήνες, φοιτώντας τα καθημερινά και δουλεύοντας ως σερβιτόρος έχω να πω τα εξής:
- 3 εβδομάδες μετά από καθημερινή χρήση άρχισε να ξεφτιζει η σόλα από κάτω, τα κομμάτια άρχισαν να κόβονται ένα ένα, με αποτέλεσμα να πρέπει να τα κόβω για να μην εξέχουν από το παπούτσι, και έτσι άρχισε να χτυπάει και παραπάνω το παπούτσι
- λερώνονται πολύ εύκολα
- δεν κάνουν για σέρβις
μου πρότειναν τα Hoka σαν παπούτσι "σκυλί", άνετο και ελαφρύ αλλά αυτό το μοντέλο απέδειξε το αντίθετο , εκτός από το κομμάτι του βάρους. Παρόλα αυτά ίσως δοκιμάσω να πάρω άλλο μοντέλο στο μέλος, σίγουρα όμως αποφύγετε τα Clifton 9
