White Damar Resin, Decorticated, 3 Cycles in Grains

Natural organic damar resin, white decorticated, in grains. Damar resin is a natural resin used as a substrate for gold leaf application during gilding, as well as in the final varnish of the artwork to stabilize the colors. The white damar resin, 3 cycles, is a type of bleached and decorticated natural resin.

  • White color of damar resin
  • Decorticated, 3 cycles
  • Bleached natural resin
  • Highly transparent and pure
  • Dilutes in a solution of at least 95% ethanol
  • Recommended mixing ratio: 250 grams of damar resin in 1 liter of ethanol
  • After 24 hours, the solution will be fully absorbed
  • Filtering the solution before use is recommended
  • The damar resin solution can be stored for months in a sealed container. Filtering before each use is advised
  • Do not store at temperatures above 20°C
  • Store damar resin in a dry, cool place inside its container, away from sunlight or heat
  • The decorticated damar resin, 3 cycles, is practically biodegradable and harmless
