How to use the Calathea & Maranta Soil Mix

• Start by removing as much of the old soil as possible.
• Gently squeeze the pot by holding it on its side to loosen the plant.
• Run the roots under lukewarm tap water to remove the last pieces.
• Remove any dead foliage using scissors.
• Add a small layer of Calathea & Maranta mix to the bottom of the pot.
• Place the plant in the pot and slowly add Calathea & Maranta soil to the sides.
• Ensure that the point where the roots meet the plant is just buried beneath the Calathea & Maranta soil.
• Make sure to water the Calathea & Maranta mix well after repotting.

The Calathea & Maranta mix contains both perlite and vermiculite, allowing for ample drainage while retaining moisture. This helps keep the soil evenly moist, making the root system healthier and larger.

Calathea & Maranta originate from the jungles of South America and do well in some sunlight. The jungle floor has a moist and rich substrate full of nutrients.
