    I bought this laptop a few months ago and found it to be powerful and efficient. It runs Windows 10/11 and Linux (Kali Linux + Parrot OS) seamlessly, offering excellent compatibility with Linux-specific hardware. The battery life is impressive on both operating systems.

    However, the laptop comes with 16GB of RAM and a 500GB SSD, which may feel limiting depending on your needs. Fortunately, it is upgradable. Despite ASUS's official documentation stating the maximum RAM upgrade as 32GB and storage at 2TB, I have successfully upgraded mine to 64GB of RAM, and I believe it can support up to 128GB. Similarly, storage can potentially be expanded up to 4TB.

    The cooling system is robust, featuring two fans - one for the CPU and another for the GPU - which, along with a well-designed back case, provides ample airflow. The case is also user-friendly for those new to hardware modifications.

    Upgrading storage is straightforward thanks to the two NVMe M.2 SSD slots, which eliminate the need for disk cloning or OS reinstallation. A minor design flaw is the battery connector's metal lock, which can be tricky to maneuver and initially took some time to figure out.

    A default security feature is the activated BitLocker encryption. To deactivate it, open the command prompt as an administrator and execute the following commands:

    To check the status: manage-bde -status
    To disable BitLocker on drive C: manage-bde -off C:
    To confirm that it is disabled: manage-bde -status
    As for performance, the laptop is extremely capable. It efficiently handles applications that require a lot of resources, operating the Mistral Instruct at speeds of up to 30 tokens per second without RAG and managing models like llama13b and 34b at speeds between 8 and 20 tokens per second. This makes it an excellent choice for those in need of a powerful, upgradable computer with great customization capabilities.

    Overall, this laptop is a well-balanced, highly upgradable machine with good performance, especially for cybersecurity tasks. It is particularly cost-efficient, offering exceptional value as long as its price remains below 1100 euros.
