Every time I ran speed tests, the results were inconsistent. On a 100 Mbps line, it would sometimes show 50, other times 15, 20, or even 5 Mbps. It was all over the place.

It didn't even cross my mind that the powerline could be the issue. I spoke with the technical department of my provider several times, and the employees told me they didn't see any problem and that they were seeing speeds of 90 Mbps from their center. (I get 85 to 88 Mbps due to the age of the cables). After sending them screenshots of the tests with the inconsistent results, they scheduled an appointment with one of their technicians. Two days before the appointment, I thought of unplugging the powerline from the outlet. When I plugged it back in, the speed skyrocketed to 88 Mbps. I immediately contacted the technical department and canceled the appointment.

Now, every time I see a drop in speed, I unplug both devices from the outlet, and then the speed returns to normal. I don't know why this happens, but it's very annoying.

First of all, as a Powerline, it is the best thing after the standard Ethernet cable in terms of transfer speed and internet transmission, but unfortunately with 70 euros I could buy 4-5 tp link 4010 and cover the whole house better, since they work together if there are more than 2 and the signal remains clear without interference over longer distances... Powerline loses 1% speed compared to direct wiring, and has a range of up to 300 meters between sockets... this burns Maximum: 6W Typical: 6W Standby: 0.5W

I chose these specific ones because I read in foreign reviews that there is no static noise at all at night when intermediate devices are inserted as long as it is inactive... and the truth is that it is too early for me to judge it since they don't make any sound, but due to their volume I don't think they will ever heat up and have disconnections and coil whine, etc. The downside is that I spent a lot of money when I could have achieved the same result with less money, and for the minimal noise since I don't sleep next to a socket, I wouldn't even hear it. I also got them with a passthrough socket since I wouldn't have another socket nearby to connect my dowry, so I didn't sacrifice the only socket I had. I just didn't like that it can handle up to 16 A, a bit low, since my power strip is at 30.

I am already in a three-phase house and luckily the PLs didn't give me any problems since I am one floor below in a different power panel, and I finally have internet as if I connected with a cable, and finally I have internet where my router rarely gave me speed even 6mbit instead of 24 and disconnection with every heartbeat...

The package also includes 2 Cat 5e cables, about 1.5 meters long, and some other unnecessary stuff.

Overall, the only positive thing I see is that they have a lot of potential, meaning that tomorrow or the day after, if I also install VDSL downstairs, I will have full speed... and also I didn't get the 8030s which the only difference is that they have 3 ethernet/lan instead of 1, and it's worth it if you have multiple devices that need internet in the same area - within 1.5 meters.

But for those of you who use them for Home Server - networking - file sharing and transmitting multiple cameras, I recommend them, faster speeds than 5 GHz Wifi, and plug n' play flexibility... whenever you want, you take one of the 2 PLs and change the socket and you have stable internet wherever you want... otherwise, get a set of 4010 or 2 and you will have internet on other floors and nests through the cable... without tangling your feet, just convert the existing wiring network between walls to ethernet up to 300 meters... Also, stay away from powerline with speeds less than 300Mbits, as the speed is theoretical and drops as the quality of the cables inside your house gets worse, and also if you have VDSL, you may heat up so much that you will have 2-3 disconnects per day, so get something bulky and at least 500.

P.S. The lower-end Powerline models simply emit a strong signal between walls, but their LAN/Ethernet can handle up to 150 Mbits Output, so if you have a weak signal, there is a problem. These specific ones have Gigabit - 1024Mbit Lan, and they have multiple signals and amplifications instead of one strong signal and one reception from the other Powerline (MIMO), allowing up to 8 of these to operate in the house, and stable connections - without lag and disconnect.
