Description

The TP-LINK switch is useful for creating or expanding a wired network. If the ethernet ports on your router are not enough for the wired connections of all your devices, a switch will help you. It is unmanaged, meaning it does not offer the ability to configure its settings, which also makes it more economical.

It is mainly recommended for simple users who just want to expand their small, home network and for small businesses without special requirements. It has 16 ethernet ports with a maximum speed of 1Gbps. It features Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology, which allows it to simultaneously transmit power and data through an Ethernet cable.

Before choosing a switch with PoE, you need to know how much power your devices draw. This particular switch has PoE (802.3af) and PoE+ (802.3at), suitable for high power requirements of devices such as IP video phones, HD IP PTZ cameras, 802.11ac (WiFi 5) APs, small audio speakers.

16 PoE+ Ports (120 W) for Multiple Applications

Compliance with the 802.3af/at PoE+ standard supports up to 30 W on each PoE port. The total power budget of 120 W PoE for the 16× PoE+ ports opens up a wide range of applications, such as surveillance for offices, dormitories, and small businesses. It is fully compatible with IP cameras, access points, IP phones, computers, printers, and more.

Ideal for IP Surveillance - Transmissions up to 250 m

With the extension function, the PoE transmission distance reaches up to 250 m - ideal for deploying IP cameras in large areas.

Keep Your Network Smooth and Secure with Port Prioritization and Segmentation

Guarantees the quality of sensitive applications such as video and voice in critical business areas by prioritizing the data of ports 1-4.

The isolation function easily divides the traffic for ports 1-7 or 8-14 to avoid eavesdropping/breaching and isolates the broadcast storm for greater security.

System self-healing with automatic PoE recovery

The switch automatically detects and reboots PD devices, such as cameras and APs, when they go offline or become unresponsive, ensuring the stable operation of PoE-connected devices without the need for manual monitoring and rebooting.

Smart Power Management

When the total power consumption exceeds 120 W, smart power management will reduce the power of the lower-priority port. This ensures the power supply of the high-priority port and protects the device from power overload. It also automatically detects and provides the required power for your PoE devices while protecting your PoE and non-PoE equipment from damage.

Durable metal casing

The internal components of the TL-SG116P are protected by a high-quality metal casing to ensure a long product lifespan. Having passed a series of rigorous reliability tests, the TL-SG116P offers switching performance you can rely on.
