I have nothing to say about the image; what user argiris1977 mentioned on 08/03/2024 is accurate. I will add the serious problem with the sound. There is significant distortion in the video sound when walking in a city environment, as well as when using the car mode. The sounds are not clear and you hear a jumble of distorted noises at high volume. It's like an amplifier is playing at full blast with damaged speakers. Especially in recordings while driving, you get the impression that the camera is placed in the engine compartment.
In communication with the "parent" company abroad, among other things, they replied to me:
"The built-in microphones in action cameras are often particularly sensitive to detecting ambient sound, which can lead to 'clipping' or distortion in noisy environments."
They also suggested that I use an external microphone, which is sold separately.
A strange answer, considering that the camera should have typically good sound by design, or alternatively, the recording volume should adjust according to the environmental sounds.
If I wanted better sound, I would choose to buy an additional external microphone myself.
After all, we're talking about an action camera and not a TV station camera operating in a sonically sterile environment.
I bought the Akaso V50X to replace the similarly priced SJCAM SJ4000 that I've had since September 2016, which has recorded hundreds of hours (including underwater), with exemplary sound for its value. I thought I'd "upgrade" technologically after so many years, based on the features, cost, and the reviews I read. Unfortunately, the SJ4000 with its "humble" 2016 software seems like a GoPro (relatively speaking) compared to the Akaso V50X of 2026.

Εγώ θα προσθέσω και το σοβαρό πρόβλημα στον ήχο.
Υπάρχει μεγάλη παραμόρφωση στον ήχο του βίντεο με περπάτημα σε περιβάλλον πόλης, αλλά και στην επιλογή αυτοκινήτου. Οι ήχοι δεν είναι ευδιάκριτοι και ακούγεται ένα συνονθύλευμα παραμορφωμένων ήχων σε υψηλή ένταση. Κάτι σαν να παίζει ενισχυτής στο τέρμα με κατεστραμμένα ηχεία. Ειδικά στις λήψεις σε διαδρομές με το αυτοκίνητο έχεις την εντύπωση ότι η κάμερα είναι τοποθετημένη στον χώρο του κινητήρα.
Σε επικοινωνία με την «μαμά» εταιρία στο εξωτερικό ανάμεσα στα άλλα μου απάντησαν:
«Τα ενσωματωμένα μικρόφωνα στις κάμερες δράσης είναι συχνά ιδιαίτερα ευαίσθητα στην ανίχνευση του ήχου περιβάλλοντος, κάτι που μπορεί να οδηγήσει σε «κόψιμο» ή παραμόρφωση σε θορυβώδη περιβάλλοντα».

Είπα να «ανέβω» τεχνολογικά ένα επίπεδο μετά από τόσα χρόνια, με βάση τα χαρακτηριστικά, το κόστος και τις όποιες κριτικές διάβασα. Δυστυχώς η SJ4000 με το «ταπεινό» λογισμικό του 2016, φαντάζει GoPro (τηρουμένων των αναλογιών) σε σχέση με την Akaso V50X του 2026.

of course the one rs is much better quality of pic and videos but its over double price. the 2 issue with one rs is that it promises to be waterproof without case insted it got ruinded twice in 8 months.
the v50x is ok . its case is good. i had cheap camera like lamtech and others which their waterproof case was leaking and i lost the camera after 1 month . the v50x is ok for budget camera and is probably the best option up to 90 euro or so . i dont know anything better for this price and i had many cameras diffrent brands of the cheap ones . but yes it nothing too much . in good snorkel conditions i get good videos

I would not recommend it in any case.. I had bought it for about 90 euros, better to spend the money on an insta360 ONERS and have something that is actually worth it and will get the job done.

I have the 2023 version which, as they say abroad, the company has ruined the video quality since 2021 - I don't have the old version to compare. I wasn't blown away, 4K quality not even close, in daylight conditions with good lighting decent video - 4K here is a joke - in cloudy conditions the quality starts to drop, indoors good night, VGA is already too much. Stabilization even while walking is not very good, on a machine that I have mounted depending on the speed and vibrations, things are from mediocre to worse, I haven't used it on a helmet yet, there I think the stabilization will work better, I have tried it in underwater shooting with its waterproof case and it has good image as long as the sea is clear, in general I think it could be better considering its price, if you have a static image it gives good results, in motion forget it.

I bought the Insta360 Ace Pro and saw what true 4K quality and video stability really means, the Akaso is now only used for underwater shooting in summer and for play from the little ones
Έχω την έκδοση 2023 που όπως λένε στο εξωτερικό έχει χαλάσει η εταιρεια την ποιότητα του βίντεο από το 2021 και μετά- δεν έχω την παλιά έκδοση για να συγκρίνω. Δεν τρελάθηκα, 4Κ ποιότητα ούτε καν, σε συνθήκες ημερήσιες με πολύ φωτισμό καλό βίντεο - 4Κ εδώ γελάμε - σε συννεφιές αρχίζει και πέφτει η ποιότητα, σε εσωτερικό χώρο καληνύχτα, vga και πολύ είναι. Σταθεροποίηση ακόμα και με περπάτημα δεν είναι πολύ καλή, σε μηχανή που την έχω κουμπώσει ανάλογα την ταχύτητα και τους κραδασμούς εκεί τα πράγματα είναι από το μέτριο προς το χειρότερο, σε κράνος ακόμα δεν την έχω χρησιμοποιήσει, εκεί θεωρώ ότι θα δουλέψει καλύτερα η σταθεροποίηση, σε υποβρύχια λήψη την έχω δοκιμάσει με την αδιάβροχη θήκη της κ έχει καλή εικόνα αρκεί να είναι καθαρή θάλασσα, γενικά θεωρώ ότι θα μπορούσε καλύτερα σε σχέση με την τιμή της, αν έχεις στατική εικόνα δίνει καλά αποτελέσματα, σε κινούμενη κλάψτα Χαράλαμπε.

the v50x is ok . its case is good. i had cheap camera like lamtech and others which their waterproof case was leaking and i lost the camera after 1 month . the v50x is ok for budget camera and is probably the best option up to 90 euro or so . i dont know anything better for this price and i had many cameras diffrent brands of the cheap ones . but yes it nothing too much . in good snorkel conditions i get good videos

of course the one rs is much better quality of pic and videos but its over double price. the 2 issue with one rs is that it promises to be waterproof without case insted it got ruinded twice in 8 months.

I would not recommend it in any case.. I had bought it for about 90 euros, better to spend the money on an insta360 ONERS and have something that is actually worth it and will get the job done.

I have the 2023 version which, as they say abroad, the company has ruined the video quality since 2021 - I don't have the old version to compare. I wasn't blown away, 4K quality not even close, in daylight conditions with good lighting decent video - 4K here is a joke - in cloudy conditions the quality starts to drop, indoors good night, VGA is already too much. Stabilization even while walking is not very good, on a machine that I have mounted depending on the speed and vibrations, things are from mediocre to worse, I haven't used it on a helmet yet, there I think the stabilization will work better, I have tried it in underwater shooting with its waterproof case and it has good image as long as the sea is clear, in general I think it could be better considering its price, if you have a static image it gives good results, in motion forget it.

I bought the Insta360 Ace Pro and saw what true 4K quality and video stability really means, the Akaso is now only used for underwater shooting in summer and for play from the little ones

Δεν τρελάθηκα, 4Κ ποιότητα ούτε καν, σε συνθήκες ημερήσιες με πολύ φωτισμό καλό βίντεο - 4Κ εδώ γελάμε - σε συννεφιές αρχίζει και πέφτει η ποιότητα, σε εσωτερικό χώρο καληνύχτα, vga και πολύ είναι. Σταθεροποίηση ακόμα και με περπάτημα δεν είναι πολύ καλή, σε μηχανή που την έχω κουμπώσει ανάλογα την ταχύτητα και τους κραδασμούς εκεί τα πράγματα είναι από το μέτριο προς το χειρότερο, σε κράνος ακόμα δεν την έχω χρησιμοποιήσει, εκεί θεωρώ ότι θα δουλέψει καλύτερα η σταθεροποίηση, σε υποβρύχια λήψη την έχω δοκιμάσει με την αδιάβροχη θήκη της κ έχει καλή εικόνα αρκεί να είναι καθαρή θάλασσα, γενικά θεωρώ ότι θα μπορούσε καλύτερα σε σχέση με την τιμή της, αν έχεις στατική εικόνα δίνει καλά αποτελέσματα, σε κινούμενη κλάψτα Χαράλαμπε.

I have nothing to say about the image; what user argiris1977 mentioned on 08/03/2024 is accurate. I will add the serious problem with the sound. There is significant distortion in the video sound when walking in a city environment, as well as when using the car mode. The sounds are not clear and you hear a jumble of distorted noises at high volume. It's like an amplifier is playing at full blast with damaged speakers. Especially in recordings while driving, you get the impression that the camera is placed in the engine compartment.
In communication with the "parent" company abroad, among other things, they replied to me:
"The built-in microphones in action cameras are often particularly sensitive to detecting ambient sound, which can lead to 'clipping' or distortion in noisy environments."
They also suggested that I use an external microphone, which is sold separately.
A strange answer, considering that the camera should have typically good sound by design, or alternatively, the recording volume should adjust according to the environmental sounds.
If I wanted better sound, I would choose to buy an additional external microphone myself.
After all, we're talking about an action camera and not a TV station camera operating in a sonically sterile environment.
I bought the Akaso V50X to replace the similarly priced SJCAM SJ4000 that I've had since September 2016, which has recorded hundreds of hours (including underwater), with exemplary sound for its value. I thought I'd "upgrade" technologically after so many years, based on the features, cost, and the reviews I read. Unfortunately, the SJ4000 with its "humble" 2016 software seems like a GoPro (relatively speaking) compared to the Akaso V50X of 2026.

Εγώ θα προσθέσω και το σοβαρό πρόβλημα στον ήχο.
Υπάρχει μεγάλη παραμόρφωση στον ήχο του βίντεο με περπάτημα σε περιβάλλον πόλης, αλλά και στην επιλογή αυτοκινήτου. Οι ήχοι δεν είναι ευδιάκριτοι και ακούγεται ένα συνονθύλευμα παραμορφωμένων ήχων σε υψηλή ένταση. Κάτι σαν να παίζει ενισχυτής στο τέρμα με κατεστραμμένα ηχεία. Ειδικά στις λήψεις σε διαδρομές με το αυτοκίνητο έχεις την εντύπωση ότι η κάμερα είναι τοποθετημένη στον χώρο του κινητήρα.
Σε επικοινωνία με την «μαμά» εταιρία στο εξωτερικό ανάμεσα στα άλλα μου απάντησαν:
«Τα ενσωματωμένα μικρόφωνα στις κάμερες δράσης είναι συχνά ιδιαίτερα ευαίσθητα στην ανίχνευση του ήχου περιβάλλοντος, κάτι που μπορεί να οδηγήσει σε «κόψιμο» ή παραμόρφωση σε θορυβώδη περιβάλλοντα».
Μου πρότειναν δε να βάλω εξωτερικό μικρόφωνο το οποίο πωλείται ξεχωριστά.
Περίεργη απάντηση από την στιγμή που η κάμερα θα έπρεπε να έχει έναν τυπικά καλό ήχο από την κατασκευή της, ή διαφορετικά, η ένταση της ηχογράφησης να προσαρμόζεται ανάλογα με τους ήχους του περιβάλλοντος.
Αν ήθελα καλύτερο ήχο θα είχα εγώ την επιλογή για αγορά επιπλέον εξωτερικού μικροφώνου.
Άλλωστε μιλάμε για κάμερα δράσης και όχι για κάμερα τηλεοπτικού σταθμού που λειτουργεί σε περιβάλλον ηχητικά αποστειρωμένο.
Αγόρασα την Akaso V50X για να αντικαταστήσω την παρόμοιου κόστους SJCAM SJ4000 που έχω από τον Σεπτέμβρη του 2016 και έχει κάνει εκατοντάδες ώρες λήψεων (και υποβρύχιες), με ήχο υποδειγματικό για την αξία της. Είπα να «ανέβω» τεχνολογικά ένα επίπεδο μετά από τόσα χρόνια, με βάση τα χαρακτηριστικά, το κόστος και τις όποιες κριτικές διάβασα. Δυστυχώς η SJ4000 με το «ταπεινό» λογισμικό του 2016, φαντάζει GoPro (τηρουμένων των αναλογιών) σε σχέση με την Akaso V50X του 2026.
