Every time I use it, it smells as if it’s the first time, and the same happens to my hair—it smells kind of weird, like burnt, and it makes my ends very rough when I curl my hair… I’ve used it several times hoping the smell would go away but it’s always the same, I need to wash my hair after using it, I wouldn’t recommend it at all… Apart from the smell, there’s no other issue, it heats up very quickly and the cord is short but sufficient.

Second time I buy it and I notice differences from the first device. The hair smells strongly burnt, I would say, and that bothers me. Also, even though I use it at a very low temperature to protect the hair and because my hair is easy to style, I think it affects it and slightly burns it... I am not sure about its quality. However, I can say with certainty that it is incredibly fast and easy to use.

You need to be careful with the temperature and definitely use heat protection for your hair, but it does a pretty good job. It is definitely worth the money.

I had bought one which I had for 6 years and bought another one and gave it as a gift to my mom, which we have had for 5 years as well. Last year one of them broke down and I bought another one, which didn't even last a year

Perfect, fast, and very economical if what you care about is having straight hair easily and quickly. However, it burns them. I would have preferred to keep my money and spend twice as much to get the Izzy Steam Pro, which was twice the price of this one (back then).

I've had it for 2+ years now and I only use it for straightening my hair. It heats up quickly, leaves my hair smooth and soft, and the straightening lasts until the next wash. Also, it doesn't frizz! I haven't used it much for curls because I generally prefer the curling iron. It's worth the money and I recommend it.

It is a good product and straightens hair quickly even if it is thick with coarse strands. However, it has one negative... it smells. It has a strange smell that I don't know if it will ever go away...

Quite good for its price. Just shouldn't be heated to 360 because it smells like burnt hair. And with lower heat, it does quite a good job. Personally, it hasn't damaged my hair.

I use it for straightening, essentially for styling because I have the same frizzy hair. It is lightweight and heats up very quickly. It works for curls, but I have a bob, so I've used it for a bit of wave; I think it would be effective on long hair.

It's great for the money. It straightens hair very well and makes good curls. When I turned it on for the first time, it smelled a bit, not bad, and then it didn't smell again. Obviously, it can burn the hair as there are many heat settings, but you get what you pay for. Choose it if you want something effective and cheap

excellent straightener, makes hair as straight as a pin! heats up very easily and the result lasts, as do the curls, if you make them with it! it is lightweight and easy to use!

Very powerful, but unfortunately compared to other 230 degrees, it burns the hair. It smells burnt and leaves the hair like straw. However, I must say it is very powerful and effective. So, once in a while...

Well, even I, who couldn't manage it, can do it very quickly and easily with this one! Of course, I use it for finishing touches, after straightening my hair a bit with a brush and a hairdryer. I never smelled plastic, as some people claim, nor did I burn my hair, because I don't put it on the highest setting and I just quickly pass it through each section - which is more than enough to straighten and make my hair shine. I highly recommend it!

It is one of the best hair straighteners!!! It is lightweight, heats up quickly, straightens the hair in a few minutes, and leaves it soft! It even keeps the hair beautiful in humid and rainy weather! I had a more expensive one from the same company that made my hair frizzy and couldn't hold the straightness at all! I have had this specific straightener for 6 years and have been using it regularly for 3 out of those 6 years without it experiencing any issues whatsoever. It is one of the best straighteners I have tried as it not only straightens the hair easily but also keeps it straight! It is clearly a great value for money!

For its price, it is excellent. I have curly hair with thick strands and it straightens them perfectly. It heats up in seconds and effectively does its job. As for those who say it burns the hair, simply lower the temperature. It is logical for it to burn your hair at 200+ degrees

Economical and lightweight. The positives stop there. I was looking for a good straightener for my mother to use to straighten a few fringes or the ends of her hair because she has a bob haircut. Reading the many good reviews and also having another model from Remington myself, I ended up with this one. My mother was not satisfied at all and recently, when I happened to use it, I understood the reasons why. It burns the hair a lot, it also burns as a device itself, and because the plates do not close well, in order to have effective straightening, you have to press them with your hand and you also get burned. You have to pass the same tuft many times to straighten it and in the end, the straightening did not last for me, not even until the next day, nor for the same evening. Of course, I do not recommend it.

We have 2 of this particular product, we have had them for 5 years and both my mother and I are completely satisfied. I have curly hair and she has straight hair, and yet the 180 Max 200 degrees are enough for us to have a wonderful, long-lasting result without damaging our hair. Fantastic!
