Tips for correctly creating buttercream flowers:

  • Make the right buttercream: the right consistency will leave long and smooth peaks.
  • Cut your bag to fit the circumference of your tip.
  • Use different colors of buttercream and color them with paste colors.
  • Place the bag with the tip down on a piping bag stand.
  • Fill your bag with buttercream and start making flowers.
  • Secure the piping bag at the top and press until all the colors start to appear.
  • Create a sticky base to "capture" the flowers.
  • Practice the flower technique by lifting the bag at the same speed as the buttercream comes out.
  • Fill any gaps between flowers with green leaves for a final touch.
