The MONTVAL® paper was designed by the painter Gaspard Maillol, nephew of the sculptor Aristide Maillol, and is manufactured by CANSON®. Since then, the material has evolved significantly. It is ACID-FREE, with excellent durability and a special treatment against “mold” without chemical bleaching, making it one of the best quality materials for “Wet” techniques for Fine Arts students.
It is very easy to use and correct since it can even be washed with a wet brush. It is available in a medium texture (Cold Pressed) or “snowy” texture (snowy grain), in a variety of sheets and pads.
