The diffuser acts as an expansion chamber for managing the air as it exits from the underside of the car and reintegrates into the ambient air at higher pressure. Smoothing this process reduces turbulence and resistance in the car's wake and improves airflow beneath the vehicle.
It gives the car a sporty character and better aerodynamics. It harnesses the airflows from the front of the car and redirects them downwards and backwards, improving aerodynamic drag and increasing traction.
It helps generate downforce by accelerating the air underneath the car.
It is installed with double-sided adhesive tape on the rear bumper or with screws (not included).
