London, 1848. Dawn. A 12-year-old worker is smoking and in the smoke, he momentarily glimpses the face of Spartacus. He does not recognize him. He extinguishes the cigarette and joins the others who walk slowly towards the factory. They wander before the shift like ghosts. And above them hovers a ghost.
