Having had a very bad experience two years ago with setting up a budget HP inkjet, I had second thoughts about the brand. Fortunately, I chose it in the end because it is very good. Initially, as soon as I connected the USB to the computer, it detected it by itself and set it up in seconds for printing without even downloading the HP application. For scanning, etc., I had to download the HP app, which to my pleasant surprise has improved a lot since the last time I used it two years ago. So, the printer is fast, prints double-sided automatically, scans quickly but does not scan double-sided automatically—you do it manually either from the automatic feeder or from the glass, you choose double-sided and the screen guides you. The only problem I encountered was on the first day with automatic double-sided printing; it only worked manually. I asked AI how to do it, followed the easy steps, and it was fixed immediately. I should mention that it is well-built and sturdy with good plastics and is smaller than others with the same features. Personally, I have it on my desk on the side on an auxiliary piece and it doesn't bother at all; to have it on the main part of the desk, it would be large.
