Description

Each sachet of 20g contains 14g of dry yeast, 4.5g of mahleb, and 1.5g of Chios mastic. The Mix for Tsoureki, 3 in 1, with dry yeast, mahleb, and Chios mastic facilitates the process of making a fluffy, aromatic, and chewy tsoureki, as its essential ingredients are in one package, weighed in the right quantity. It offers the authentic taste, texture, and aroma of traditional tsoureki.

Ingredients:

  • Dry yeast (saccharomyces cerevisiae, Emulsifier: sorbitan monostearate, ascorbic acid)
  • Mahleb
  • Chios mastic

Allergens: It contains no allergenic ingredients.

DOSAGE: 2 SACHETS (2 X 20g) FOR 1Kg OF FLOUR. Gluten-free, No added sugars, VEGAN.

RECIPE FOR TSOURÉKI WITH CHIOS MASTIC

Ingredients: 1Kg flour for tsoureki, 300g sugar, 200g butter, 2 sachets of 3 in 1 ELMA MIX FOR TSOURÉKI, 120g lukewarm water, 200g milk, 4 eggs, 1 pinch of salt.

Instructions:

  • Dissolve 2 sachets of 3 in 1 ELMA MIX FOR TSOURÉKI in lukewarm water and mix with 150g flour in the mixer with the hook. Cover and let rise for 15 minutes.
  • Beat the eggs and salt, add to the risen mixture and mix in the mixer on low speed for 5 minutes.
  • Heat milk, 100g butter, and sugar over low heat until the butter melts. Allow to cool and transfer to the mixer with the ingredients of mixture A and mix for 5 minutes.
  • Add 850g flour and mix on low speed until absorbed (about 10 minutes), then increase to high for 5 minutes. Then add 100g melted butter.
  • Let the dough rise until doubled (about 1 hour), shape tsourekia as desired and place them on a pan to rise for 30 minutes.
  • Optionally brush with diluted yolk, sprinkle with almond slices, and bake in a preheated oven at 150°C for 40-50 minutes.
