It does its job, for 0 to 3 months the baby sits and stares at it for quite a while (at that age they focus on black and white as they still don't see colors clearly). It is made of material that makes noise like a bag when you hold it in your hands for the baby to play. 3 stars because for 17-22+ euros that they sell it for, it is expensive. You can find this type of toy-book with a little searching for 10 euros or even less.
