The SmallRig 4183 Cage for Sony FX30 / FX3 is designed to protect the camera and provide mounting points for accessories. The modular design includes a NATO rail and a U-shaped cage. The NATO rail is secured from above with two 1/4"-20 screws and can be removed to install the original XLR top handle. The U-shaped cage is secured with 1/4"-20 screws on both sides as well as at the bottom to prevent rotation, with scratch protection. On the battery cover, there is an articulating arm that adapts to the curve of the camera for a better grip experience for the pinky finger. A special HDMI compressor protects the interfaces to ensure stable signal transmission.

Among the various accessory mounting points, the 1/4"-20 holes support the Magic Arm 2070; ARRI 3/8"-16 holes connect the Top Handle 2165C or the Monitor Mount 2903B; the top NATO rail supports the Top Handle 3322, and the left side, the Side Handle 2187B; the 1/4"-20 holes in the upper left corner and the left side connect the Rod Clamp 3598 for follow focus; two 1/4"-20 holes on the right side provide secure connection to a quick release plate for vertical shooting; the cold shoe mount supports a microphone, LED light; and the QD port at the bottom fits the QD strap.

An Arca-Swiss quick release base at the bottom can be connected directly to DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro or with a quick release plate (elevation pad) for DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 gimbal and the Arca-Type Quick Release Plate 3154.

Both sides and the bottom have holes for Hand Strap 3848 and Shoulder Strap PSC2428. A magnetic key is also included for easy mounting and removal.
