The abrasive materials used for "organic" brake pads are typically made from fibers derived from glass, rubber, carbon/Kevlar® or Twaron® in combination with natural resin. These brake pads have a reputation for being softer and quieter, but they are also known to wear out quickly and create more brake dust.
