Italeri: 1:24 Renault R5 Alpine Rally
For the 1977 racing season, the French company Renault developed a racing version of the popular small R5. Despite the fact that this car was designed for very different purposes, after appropriate preparation, the French technicians managed to deliver remarkable power from the engine: 150CV, and a remarkable transmission ratio, which thanks to the limited weight of just 800 Kg, made the R5 a very agile and fast car.
The R5 achieved excellent results in the Sanremo and Montecarlo races in 1978, as well as satisfactory results in the Acropolis Rally and in Africa.
