This review is about the size: 4 GB

I searched a lot before buying this specific Qnap, and I will save you two+ weeks of searching for anything in this price range while comparing its features with much more expensive options.

    - The features I will describe can be found in similar systems after searching with good reviews and at prices above €1000-1200.

I bought it with the aim of upgrading its performance by adding a 10Gbps PCIe card, two 1TB M.2 SSDs for caching, and 16GB of RAM. With these improvements, I expect excellent speed for demanding tasks such as multimedia and backup creation.

    Impressions:
The flexibility and scalability of the QNAP TS-462-4G make it an ideal investment for those looking to combine storage, speed, and reliability in this price category. It has an excellent interface and a very powerful mobile app, making management easy and efficient.

The NAS received its first upgrades within the first week of purchase, with new firmware and app updates. For its price, it is a no-brainer for anyone looking for a modern and customizable storage solution.

At the back, it comes factory-equipped with 2.5Gbps, but you will see that the card it takes is an expansion to add 10Gbps. Also, the RAM expansions and the fact that it takes M2 drives in the internal space as a CACHE upgrade while still having all the ports you see in front free is simply perfect. The cherry on top is that the front bays can accommodate 2.5" SSDs and 3.5" HDDs (SATA) without any screws. - It has everything right, sends email notifications, and also beeps when the drives are full (not continuously)
