The Zoch Verlag Burg Appenzell board game is a strategy game for 2–4 players. Each player controls mice of different colors and tries to collect pieces of cheese in the castle. On their turn, players spend action points to bring new mice into play, reveal corridors, move their mice, or add a tile that changes the maze.
When two mice belonging to the same player reach a space where the same type of cheese appears, that player wins a piece of cheese. The first player to collect four different pieces of cheese wins.
