I got it as a gift for a home grill enthusiast. Apart from the fact that he was excited about how cool it is, the packaging gives a nice vibe from the start.
Guys, it’s very easy to use and before we even threw the T-bone on the coals, we had already set it up on an Android phone.
Every step you take to learn it, the app has instructions and relevant videos. User friendly and 100% accurate grilling.
It was cleaned easily in 5 seconds and its storage is also nice in its case.
Attention, don’t touch it with your bare hand after the fire, it’s metal and retains heat.
Two things I noticed:
- For example, if it says 3 minutes grilling for the steak, it means both sides in total. So you have to remember to flip it halfway. If there’s a setting to notify you, I’ll look for it and update.
- It charges with an AA battery. I admit I didn’t check before and was disappointed that this absolute gadget doesn’t have a USB port. If a version has USB charging, you should prefer it.
Update: It broke after 10 grillings and I’m getting a replacement under warranty. If the new one survives, I’ll mention it in the future. For now, though, it made me feel insecure about the product, so I’m dropping it to 4 stars.
Update 2: Even with the new replacement they sent, I don’t feel there’s any improvement in durability. We use it on average, meaning we haven’t pushed it at a tech geek level.
Because we always look for it right before grilling, we’re hungry and now we’re tired of looking for it and don’t bother anymore since it takes so much effort.
The first time everything connected instantly. After that, I don’t know what went wrong.

Update: Χάλασε μετά από 10 ψησίματα και μου έρχεται η αντικατάσταση λόγω εγγύησης. Αν επιζήσει το νέο, θα το γράψω μελλοντικά. Πάντως για την ώρα μου δημιούργησε ανασφάλεια ως προϊόν και γι αυτό το ρίχνω στα 4 αστέρια.

For anyone who understands what level of difficulty we are talking about, I cooked a whole 6-kilogram grouper (not in pieces) on a simple grill (I mean non-rotating) and it came out perfect, without burning and without drying out.

Προσοχή, μην το πιάσεις με γυμνό χέρι μετά τη φωτιά, είναι μέταλλο και κρατάει θερμοκρασία ️
Δύο πράγματα που παρατήρησα.
- Πχ αν λέει 3 λεπτά ψήσιμο στη μπριζόλα, εννοεί και τις 2 μεριές σύνολο. Οπότε πρέπει να έχεις στο νου σου να την γυρίσεις στο ενδιάμεσο. Αν έχει σχετικό setting ώστε να σε ειδοποιεί, θα το ψάξω και θα επανέλθω.
- Φορτίζει με μπαταρία AA. Ομολογώ ότι δεν το έψαξα πριν και ξενέρωσα που αυτή η absolut gadgetάρα δεν έχει θύρα USB ? Αν κάποια έκδοση έχει USB φόρτιση, να την προτιμήσεις.
Update: Χάλασε μετά από 10 ψησίματα και μου έρχεται η αντικατάσταση λόγω εγγύησης. Αν επιζήσει το νέο, θα το γράψω μελλοντικά. Πάντως για την ώρα μου δημιούργησε ανασφάλεια ως προϊόν και γι αυτό το ρίχνω στα 4 αστέρια.
Update 2: Ούτε με το νέο που έστειλαν αντικατάσταση νιώθω ότι έχουμε κάποιο αποτέλεσμα στην αντοχή. Κάνουμε Average χρήση, δηλαδή δεν έχουμε προσπαθήσει σε επίπεδο tech geek.
Επειδή το ψάχνουμε πάντα λίγο πριν το ψήσιμο, πεινάμε και πλέον βαρεθήκαμε να το ψάχνουμε και δεν το ψάχνουμε πια αφού θέλει τόσο ψάξιμο.
Την πρώτη φορά όλα συνδέθηκαν Μπαμ-μπαμ. Από εκεί και πέρα δεν ξέρω τι φταίει.

Ναι είναι κομμάτι ακριβούτσικο, αλλά δεν θα χρειαστείς τίποτα άλλο. Έχεις ενημέρωση εσωτερικής και ταυτόχρονα εξωτερικής θερμοκρασίας (της φωτιάς ή του φούρνου), ώστε να μπορείς να προσαρμόσεις το ψήσιμό σου. Ιδίως στα κάρβουνα που δεν έχεις καμία πληροφόρηση για την θερμοκρασία που εκπέμπουν στο ύψος του ψητού, είναι ανεκτίμητη η πληροφόρηση. Φυσικά ειδοποιήσεις για εκτιμώμενο χρόνο ψησίματος στην τρέχουσα θερμοκρασία φωτιάς και την επιθυμητή θερμοκρασία του ψητού, γραφήματα και άλλα μπιχλιμπίδια.
Για όποιον καταλαβαίνει για ποιο επίπεδο δυσκολίας μιλάμε, έψησα συναγρίδα 6 κιλών ολόκληρη (όχι σε κομμάτια) σε απλή σχάρα (μη περιστρεφόμενη εννοώ) και βγήκε τέλεια, χωρίς να καεί και χωρίς να στεγνώσει.
