Ioannis K. Bougas was born in Gargalianoi and followed an outstanding academic career as a Ph.D. in Statistics in Canada, teaching at top universities such as Concordia and McGill. After his retirement from Bell Canada in 2005, he devoted himself to the study of History and the analysis of current affairs. He is known for his historical work, with books such as "Voice of Peace" and "Bloody Memories 1940-45," which are based on primary sources and testimonies, while maintaining an active presence in the media commenting on political and historical issues.
