    It's matte as promised, but what one has to take in mind is that it's not translucent - it's actually white. I intended to use it after sunscreen to remove that feeling of grease and shine that usually goes with sunscreen. It's hard to spread it over one and powder particles are visible on skin and on anything they fall onto as white stains. Once it's spread over skin you do get a matte effect as well as blueish white overlay
