It is obviously not genuine... not all the buttons worked... and I'm talking about important functions...
    1) The volume button only increased the volume, it didn't work to decrease it.
    2) The arrow wouldn't go right, only up, down, and left.
After that, I didn't bother with it anymore.

First of all, it worked immediately and is 99% the same as the old one except for some features that I consider insignificant. In terms of build quality, it is good. With three kids in the house, it still works.

On the left is the remote control of the television since the day I bought it. I give 3 stars because it does not bear the LG logo and it makes me unsure if it is actually genuine. Even in weight and construction, there are differences. The left one is sturdier and heavier while the right one is light and feels more fake in the hand. Netflix and Disney+ did not sync. Nevertheless, I am not bothered by any of the above except when something is labeled as genuine, it should be genuine and as depicted.

While the listing is supposed to be for an authentic product (as shown in the first photo with the LG logo), I received a compatible one, but not authentic. There are ones like this for 3 euros and I paid 13.
