The ED-3 device is a wall-mounted voltage regulator (dimmer) for controlling asynchronous single-phase motors, operating within a range of approximately 50-100% of nominal speeds.
It features a potentiometer for adjusting the speed to the desired point, from a lower pre-set limit to the maximum.
The lower speed limit is adjusted with the trimmer that the device has, as follows:
With the speed adjustment knob turned to the minimum, we adjust the minimum speed trimmer with the help of a small screwdriver, turning it to the right, so that the motor rotates satisfactorily without having startup issues. Now the dimmer adjusts the motor speed from the lower speed limit to the maximum.
